Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan

On June 4, 2021, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan Korenkov Yevgeny Anatolyevich.

Zavqizoda Z.A. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity -Leader of the nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Russian Federation Putin Vladimir Vladimirovich, relations between the countries have reached a qualitatively new level.

It was noted that Russia is one of the main strategic partners of the Republic of Tajikistan and for the last ten years has been ranked first in the structure of Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover.

During the meeting, which took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the sides discussed the issues of attracting investment from the Russian Federation, creating joint industrial enterprises, cooperation in the field of digitalization and holding the next session of the Tajik-Russian interregional conference.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
