Meeting with the Heads of Government of the CIS Participating States
On June 5, at the Palace of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the Heads of Government of the CIS Participating States, who had arrived in Dushanbe.
The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation between the countries within the framework of the Commonwealth and the agenda of Tajikistan's chairmanship in the CIS.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, reflected on the priorities of the chairmanship of Tajikistan, including the measures taken by our country to develop and expand cooperative relations and address pressing issues.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan, within the framework of its participation, and in particular, the current chairmanship in the CIS, is carrying out constructive work for the further enhancement of multilateral cooperation among all its participating states.
The President of the country highlighted that the measures we have taken in this direction are based, first of all, on the principles of friendship, respect and mutual trust, mutually beneficial cooperation, and taking into account the interests of all parties.
At the same time, the Head of State stressed Tajikistan's readiness to further expand cooperation in all areas of cooperation to ensure sustainable socio-economic development, as well as strengthen stability and security throughout the Commonwealth.
Ways to expand cooperation between the CIS Participating States in various areas, including economy and trade, industry, energy, investment attraction, innovation and digitalization, were among the topics for which the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, put forward a number of proposals.
At the same time, during the conversation, the Head of State paid attention to issues of cooperation in the fields of education, healthcare, culture, and science and technology.
It was noted that the adoption of the Action Plan for the implementation of the second stage of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period up to 2030 is an important issue of the Tajikistan chairmanship within the Commonwealth.
The parties discussed the development of integration of countries on environmental protection issues, support for each other's initiatives to solve global problems, and the results of the first High-Level International Conference on Glaciers' Preservation.
It was also considered necessary to expand cooperation in the field of security and combating modern threats and challenges.
At the end of the conversation, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, wished success to the work of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS Participating States.
