Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan

  

On April 28, a meeting took place in Arkadag, Turkmenistan, between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, and the Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan, Mammetguly Astangulov.

 

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policies of the leaders of both countries, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Turkmenistan, esteemed Serdar Berdymukhamedov, bilateral relations are steadily developing and have reached a high level.

The parties confirmed their readiness to increase the volume of mutual trade, cargo transportation, goods transit, and deepen industrial cooperation.

The Tajik side invited Turkmenistan to participate at a high level in the International High-Level Conference on Glacier Conservation, which will be held from May 29 to 31, 2025, in Dushanbe.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to activate work on the timely implementation of the directives from the leaders of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
