A grant agreement for the construction of the Sebzor hydroelectric power station was signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the German Development Bank (KfW)

To carry out the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, on December 12, 2023, by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, Director of the German Development Bank for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (KfW) Ms. Veronica Garcia del Arco, Head of the Regional Office of the German Development Bank in Central Asia Andreas Schneider and Head of the Pamir Energy company signed an additional Grant Agreement in the amount of 10 million euros for the construction of the Sebzor hydroelectric power station.

The capacity of the Sebzor hydroelectric power station is 11 MW, which will provide green energy to more than 227 thousand people in the Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region of the Republic of Tajikistan and 468 thousand people in the border areas of neighboring Afghanistan.

It should be noted that to this day, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the attraction of funds from development partners, especially the European Union, the Government of Germany, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Cooperation (SECO) and the World Bank for the construction of hydroelectric power stations " Sebzor raised a total of $84 million in grants.
