The Minister of Economic Development and Trade discussed with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund and the Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers for Competitiveness and Knowledge Sharing of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) the issue of attracting investment

On July 19, 2023, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, as part of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, met with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, Muhammad Saif Al Suwaidi and Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers for Competitiveness and Knowledge Sharing of the UAE, Abdullah Lutah.

At the meeting of Zavqizoda Z.A. presented the UAE with a wide range of investment opportunities for the country's economic sectors and made a request for funding for the construction of the Rogun HPP and priority public investment projects in the fields of energy, industry, infrastructure, agriculture, irrigation and climate change, which received support.

The UAE side, in turn, called for mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the UAE state program for the exchange of best practices in public administration, aimed at strengthening the capacity of government bodies, institutions and individuals.

The Tajik side expressed its gratitude to the UAE for the invitation to cooperate on the fifth initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan in the framework of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28) and expressed its full readiness in this direction.
