Implementation of the Strategy for the Development of the "Green" Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 in terms of the Classification (Taxonomy) of "Green" Projects

  

On June 11, 2025, in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, in order to implement the objectives and goals of the Strategy for the Development of the "Green" Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 and develop a document on the Classification (Taxonomy) of "Green" Projects, a meeting of the Working Group was held, created on the basis of the order of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade dated March 17, 2025, No. 18, with the participation of international and local experts.

At the beginning of the meeting, the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Solehzoda A. A. presented information regarding the objectives and goals of the Strategy for the Development of the "Green" Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 and the need to adopt this document.

It was noted that the Classification (Taxonomy) of "green" projects is being developed with the aim of attracting "green" investments for the implementation of public investment projects, providing "green" loans and developing projects that comply with the principles of the "green" economy.

Also during the meeting, international consultant Oliver Hermann presented a report on the essence of the "green" Taxonomy, international experience and features of this document.

During the meeting, representatives of ministries, departments and consultants discussed further plans and the structure of the document being developed.
