Participation of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade in the Tajikistan-China Entrepreneurship Forum
On June 4, 2025, in Dushanbe, as part of the visit of the Governor of Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhao Gang, the Tajikistan-China Entrepreneurship Forum was held, in which the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Solehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid took part and made a speech.
In his speech, Solehzoda A. A. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policies of the leaders of the two countries - the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Honorable Xi Jinping - trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is developing, and the volume of mutual foreign trade turnover is growing annually.
The People's Republic of China is one of the main trade and economic partners of the Republic of Tajikistan and in 2024, according to the geographical structure of Tajikistan's foreign trade, it ranked second with a volume of 1.95 billion dollars.
Also, the First Deputy Minister in his speech emphasized the importance of holding this forum to exchange views and experiences, discuss existing opportunities and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, noting that effective ties between the trade and investment circles of Tajikistan and China, taking into account the existing potential, can become a solid basis for the implementation of economic and investment projects between the two countries.
At the same time, within the framework of the Forum, a joint meeting of Solehzoda A. A. with the leadership and responsible representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture, Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management with the Governor of Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhao Gang, was held.
During the meeting, positive trends in the development of cooperation in the fields of economics and trade, investment, digital and "green" economy, industry, transport, energy, agriculture and the attraction of modern technologies were discussed. Following the meeting, both sides expressed interest in strengthening economic cooperation and implementing joint projects, and also emphasized their readiness to expand ties in various sectors.
