The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Executive Director of the Qatar Development Fund Khalifa bin Jasim Al-Kuwari

On September 29, 2023, within the framework of the fourth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Qatar on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Executive Director of the Qatar Development Fund Khalifa bin Jasim al-Kuwari.

During the meeting, Zavqizoda Z.A. presented priority projects of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Director of the mentioned fund, in particular, financing of the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station, construction of an international passenger and cargo airport in the Dangar area, modernization of JSC Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO), and expressed hope that the mentioned fund will support the financing of these projects.

In turn, the Executive Director of the Qatar Development Fund expressed his willingness to finance the construction of the Rogun HPP.
