The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan

On July 7, 2023, the meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hidayat Asadov took place in the city of Baku of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during which issues of expanding bilateral economic cooperation were discussed.

Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that thanks to the wise and far-sighted policy of the leaders of the two countries, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, respected Ilham Aliyev, bilateral cooperation has constantly developed and reached a high level of reliable partnerships.

At the meeting, in order to implement the instructions of the Presidents of the two countries, the parties discussed issues of strengthening trade and economic cooperation, creating joint industrial enterprises, including within the framework of free economic zones of the Republic of Tajikistan, transporting crude oil from Azerbaijan for the needs of the Dangara FEZ oil refinery, attracting capital for the reconstruction of the JSC "Tajik Aluminum Company" plant, export of aluminum, cryolite and aluminum fluoride from Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, import of alumina from Azerbaijan to Tajikistan, processing of agricultural products, provision of discounts for freight transportation by rail, development of tourism, search and exploration of underground deposits Tajikistan, as well as an increase in bilateral trade.
