Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan

On March 31, 2022, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Aiki Toshihi. At the beginning of the meeting, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin noted that the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, pays special attention to strengthening cooperation with Japan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of expanding bilateral trade cooperation between the two countries, including increasing the financing of priority projects of the Republic of Tajikistan through JICA, the creation of joint industrial enterprises using advanced Japanese technologies in free economic zones, establishing cooperation on the implementation of green economy and digital economy projects, the export of environmentally friendly goods and Tajikistan's products, the creation of logistics centers, the development of tourism and the holding of the next intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Japan.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation and implement the above-mentioned issues.
