Today, Nematullo Hummatullozoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, met with UNFPA Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Alanna Armitage.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister, Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, congratulated the distinguished guest on her first visit to our country and congratulated on the 50th anniversary of the organization of UNFPA and the 25th anniversary of the program of action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).
Mrs. Alanna Armitage, on behalf of the organization, expressed willingness to further develop cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, topics related to mother and child health, family planning, cervical cancer prevention program, 2020 population census and youth health were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation.
