Meeting of the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan with representatives of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany
On April 17, 2024, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddizoda Ahliddin Nuriddin, a representative of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and a number of senior executives and representatives of credit institutions met with representatives of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the city Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany.
Nuriddinzoda A. N. during his speech expressed gratitude for the funding of the “Program for financing the value chain in agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan” and the constant support of the German federal government.
It was noted that as a result of the implementation of the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, the development of the national economy in 2023 was ensured and its real growth amounted to 8.3 percent.
He also noted that agriculture is the most important sector of the national economy of the Republic of Tajikistan and provides the population with food and industry with raw materials. In 2023, the share of agriculture in the structure of gross domestic product was 24.3 percent.
At the end of the meeting, Nuriddinzoda A. N. noted that taking into account the significant contribution of the agricultural industry to the development of the national economy in order to achieve the goals and plans set by the government of the country and support the agricultural industry, the continuation of financing of the “Value Chain Financing Program in the Agricultural Industry” is considered important Republic of Tajikistan”.
The parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and consider the noted proposals.
