Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Regional Director of the Islamic Development Bank in Central Asia

On October 18, 2021, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with the Regional Director of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Central Asia Ibrahim Shukri, during which current projects and prospects for further cooperation between Tajikistan and the IDB were discussed.

Zavqizoda Z.A. First of all, he congratulated Ibrahim Shukri on his appointment as the new Regional Director of the Islamic Development Bank in Central Asia and wished him success.

It was noted that within the framework of the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation - the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, mutually beneficial cooperation with the IDB is developing year after year and has reached a qualitatively new level.

It was noted that at present, with the support of the IDB in Tajikistan, 88 projects worth 622.7 million US dollars are being successfully implemented in the fields of energy, agriculture, transport and education.

Zavqizoda Z. A. asked the IDB to increase the financing of the IDB Group for the priority areas of the country, which was met with satisfaction.
